Bio
I think the Nerd seeds in me were planted when I played Double Dragon for the first time at a bowling alley in TriCity Oceanside with my Dad. 5 years old, a couple bucks deep and my dad and I are going heads up against each other to see who wins the girl. After losing a close battle, I threw a wicked temper tantrum and got beat for it. There’s two things I know for sure that run deep in my family and my blood: Competition and Video Games.
Growing up, I was always “the big kid” and my dad taught me how to protect myself as well as those that are with me. I was taught to “protect the little guys and destroy the bullies”. With that, every time I was sent home from school for beating up a bully or protecting someone from them I was rewarded with a pizza or a video game. My mom wasn’t too happy about the idea but she also fueled my passion for video games. Legend has it, I died in the castle at the end of Super Mario Bros. and let out an “F-Bomb” within ear shot of her. She came in the room and hit reset on the Nintendo. Rage filled my body as she turned and said “Just for that, you have to beat this game without cheating (she meant no warp zones)”. Shocked but intrigued, I went along with this “punishment” pretending to dislike it. She scraped every nickel and dime she could to buy me the newest games. She didn’t buy me games for a while after she spent 50 bucks to buy me Ninja Gaiden 2 when I beat it in 3 hours. She was always my biggest fan in everything I did and was even the other half of my “Team Rocket Krew” when I was heavily into Pokemon.
As far as making music goes, I have always written poetry and songs making fun of something or someone. In 6th grade my mom entered me into a Mother’s Day Poetry contest. My poem came out more like a rap and I won 1st place winning a 100$ gift certificate to the mall as well as my chubby cheeks in the local newspaper. I really didn’t start making beats, producing or MC’ing until I got into college. I attended CSUSM in hopes of becoming an Audio Producer and my aunt and uncle got me my very first “Lab”. They provided me with my first computer, first programs, 2 keyboards, a microphone and at least 4 thousand pages of “How to make music”. Needless to say I didn’t read any of it and just started trying to make stuff. Little by little, songs emerged, I taught myself how to work everything and I have been making music ever since. Anthony (the Dark Prince) introduced me to Nerdcore when he burned me a cd of random songs off Rhyme Torrents. I heard White Warrior by YTCracker and I was in love. That very night I went into the lab and started work on Level Up. The rest is history!
I currently reside in a house in Tri-City Oceanside, California, North County San Diego, with my best friend and our buddies, but I can usually be found at my dad’s house depending on what Instance we are going to run when we are playing WoW.
