Updates are coming to a crawl as we near the deadline for the new ZeaLouS1 album, everybody at BOSSFIGHT is working EXTREMELY hard to get the entire package to gold status by Monday morning.
In the meantime, check out this incredible interview ZeaLouS1 had with Z of Hipster, please!. An excerpt:
Your first release, Assimilation Process: Complete, was a thematic introduction to the ZeaLouS1 style, while your follow-up, Collaboc1de, was very much a love letter to nerdcore as both a community and a lifestyle. What can we expect from your next effort?
The concept has changed a few times since I first started working on it. I have settled on the lyrical scheme going back to how I first started but with an enhanced technique. Nothing but straight storytelling and flexing the vocal drops. This time around I am taking a lot of time in hand-making the beats and gathering beats from certain other artists to fit each story I tell to the extent that even if there were no words on the track you would still hear a story. I am going to be taking everything that is ZeaLouS1 up to this moment and putting it onto an album, and when you play it I want you to feel like I’m sitting next to you telling my story.

FLASH: Now available for download, IllGill’s Internet Hate Machine.
Before ZeaLouS1 got into the heavy production of his third album (available October 30, btw) he worked with his BOSSFIGHT labelmate IllGill on his new EP IHM. The EP is made up of some of Ill’s unreleased work, mixed and mastered by Z1. Sounds very nasty, as IllGill would say. Head over to the new IllGill.com to check it out.
And, if you’re in the SoCal area, be sure to come and check out both Ill and Z1 live on stage at SDSC this Saturday night. I know Ill will be performing most, if not all of, Internet Hate Machine, and word is looking very good ZeaLouS1 may try a new song or two.

The guys have nothing planned. Nothing. At least they can’t tell me anything they have planned, so I’m assuming they have nothing planned. You’ll just have to tune into Palomar College Radio.com Sunday night at 6 PM SoCali time to find out. Jump in the CHAT and give them some topics to discuss. Because they have nothing. Nothing!

The rumors are true, ZeaLouS1 and IllGill will be appearing live at the San Diego Sports Club for an impromptu gig on Saturday, September 29. With Z1’s third album nearing completion, and Ill’s EP Internet Hate Machine due out Tuesday, do you think there’s any chance some new material might debut? Only one way to find out. San Diego Sports Club is located at 1271 University Ave., San Diego, California, 92103.

Thanks go to Z of Hipster, please! for reminding us here at ZeaLouS1.com that it’s International “Talk Like a Pirate Day,” which means that Captain Dan and the Scurvy Crew releases their latest treasure, Rimes of the Hip-Hop Mariners. Believe it or not, ZeaLouS1 is now a member of the Scurvy Crew, having been lost by BOSSFIGHT in a crooked card game to the dreaded Captain Dan Dolan. BOSSFIGHT’s loss is the Crew’s gain, as Z1 is featured prominently on the new disc.
Head over to the good Captain’s MySpace and check out the track “Jolly Roger,” and if you’d like to support ZeaLouS1 and the Scurvy Crew, raise your pirate flag and order the CD. Yarr!
